📞 Who can I contact for more information?

Bee City Savannah is Savannah’s official designation as a Bee City USA affiliate, part of a national movement to protect pollinators through habitat creation, pesticide reduction, and public education. The designation was made possible through the passionate, grassroots efforts of Sade Shofidiya, founder of BEEnevolent and long-time pollinator advocate. After nearly two years of dedicated organizing, Savannah officially became a Bee City USA in January 2025. Bee City Savannah is guided by the Savannah Pollinator Preservation Committee—a community-led coalition of residents, scientists, educators, city leaders, and organizations committed to restoring and protecting local pollinator populations. Through initiatives like Pollinator Week, educational programs, public gardens, and policy work, Bee City Savannah is building a more vibrant, sustainable city—one pollinator at a time. 🐝 A full event schedule is posted on our website and social media.
